OJA Streaming
Updated On: April 15, 2026
Legal Compliance and PRO-Free
What does it mean that OJA Streaming is “PRO-Free”?
It means our catalog is not affiliated with performing rights organizations (such as SOCAN, SACM, SGAE, BMI, ASCAP). Since we use direct licensing, you do not pay additional royalties to these entities.
Will I receive a legal license certificate?
Yes. Upon subscription, we issue a digital certificate linking your business to our public performance license, which can be presented during any inspection.
What happens if an inspector from a PRO visits my business?
You simply present your OJA Streaming certificate. It proves that the music being played is legally licensed directly from us for commercial use.
Does this license cover both copyright and neighboring rights?
Yes. It covers both composition and master recording rights, as we own 100% of the rights to our catalog.
Can I cancel payments to local performing rights organizations if I use OJA?
Yes, but only if you use our catalog 100% of the time. If you or your staff play radio, TV, Spotify, YouTube, or any external music source even for a few minutes, those PROs have the legal right to fine and charge you. Our license does NOT protect you if you mix music sources. If an inspector catches your business playing unauthorized external music, OJA Streaming cannot intervene or defend you.
Is the license valid internationally?
Our licenses are direct and global, but are structured to comply with commercial public performance regulations in each region.
PRO Inspections & Intimidation Guide
What should I do if a PRO inspector threatens or intimidates me?
First, do not panic and remain calm. Some inspectors may use aggressive high-pressure sales tactics. Follow this strict protocol:
- Do not sign anything: Never sign any paper, tablet, or acknowledgement of visit. Signing can be interpreted as admitting guilt or accepting an unwanted contract.
- Do not pay or give financial info: Never pay on the spot or provide credit card/bank details to an inspector.
- Show only the OJA Certificate: Point to or present your active OJA Streaming certificate. State clearly: “Our establishment only plays directly-licensed music from OJA Streaming. This business is PRO-Free.”
- Do not provide additional info: Do not tell them how many customers you have, your revenue, or who owns the business. You are not legally obligated to answer their questions.
The inspector claims the OJA license “is not valid in this country” or is “illegal.” What do I do?
This is a common bluff used to scare business owners. Copyright law allows creators to bypass PROs and license their music directly (Direct Licensing). Tell the inspector: “The legal chain of title and PRO-Free status of our music is verified. If you believe there is an issue, please contact OJA Streaming’s legal department directly.” Do not argue with them; let them leave and immediately contact us at support@ojastreaming.com with the details of the visit.
How should I instruct my employees to handle an inspection?
Train your staff with these simple three steps:
- Identify and Redirect: If someone identifies themselves as a music inspector, the employee must immediately call the manager or business owner. Employees should not try to answer legal questions.
- Show the Certificate: The employee should point out the printed or digital OJA Streaming certificate and state that the business only plays licensed, PRO-Free music.
- No Signature, No Statements: Under no circumstances should an employee sign any document or form presented by the inspector. They should politely say: “I am not authorized to sign documents or provide business details. Please speak with the management.”
Usage and Catalog
Can I use my personal Spotify or Apple Music account in my business?
No. Those accounts are strictly for personal use. Using them in a business setting is not legal. OJA provides a dedicated commercial-use platform.
How often is new music added?
We update our catalog monthly to ensure our clients always have fresh and relevant sound environments.
Does the music include ads or interruptions?
Never. The service is 100% ad-free to maintain a professional atmosphere in your space.
Can I create my own playlists within the platform?
No. OJA Streaming is a curated professional music service, not a personal playback tool. We handle track selection, audio quality, and consistent sound levels so you can focus on your business. If you need a specific atmosphere, our curation team can tailor the programming for you.
Technical Implementation
What equipment do I need to run OJA Player?
OJA Player runs on Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit) and is designed for reliable commercial use on affordable hardware. We recommend Mini PCs such as the Beelink Mini S12 Pro, GMKtec G3, or MINISFORUM UN100.
Minimum Requirements:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Intel Core i3 (6th Gen) / AMD Ryzen 3 or better
- 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended)
- 500 MB available storage (SSD recommended)
- Stable broadband Internet connection
- Audio output (3.5 mm, USB or Bluetooth)
What happens if my internet connection is interrupted?
OJA Player is designed to provide uninterrupted playback. Music already downloaded to the player will continue playing normally if your internet connection is temporarily unavailable. An internet connection is only required to receive new content, updates, and license verification.
Is OJA Player compatible with professional audio systems?
Yes. OJA Player works with virtually any commercial sound system. Simply connect your Windows device to your amplifier, mixer, or powered speakers using the available audio output (3.5 mm, RCA, USB audio interface, Bluetooth, or HDMI, depending on your equipment).
Subscription and Payments
How does the free trial work?
You get full access to the catalog and platform for 7 days. If you are not satisfied, you can cancel at any time with no commitment.
What payment methods do you accept for businesses?
We operate under a B2B model using Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) as our primary payment method to ensure uninterrupted service and reduce issues caused by expired or blocked credit cards. For annual payments or special setups, we also accept Interac e-Transfer.
Why do you use Direct Debit instead of credit cards?
PAD provides greater stability and fewer interruptions caused by card expirations or banking blocks. It also reduces processing fees associated with credit card networks, allowing us to maintain more efficient and consistent pricing.
Are there long-term contracts?
No. You can choose monthly subscriptions or annual plans with discounted pricing.
What does the subscription include?
Unlimited access to the catalog, technical support, and most importantly, the public performance license.
Does pricing vary depending on business size?
Yes. We offer tiered pricing based on the number of locations and/or zones within the same location to ensure fair and scalable rates.
Support and Reliability
How can I contact support?
For technical support or billing inquiries, you can reach us at support@ojastreaming.com. We respond to all business requests within 2-3 business days, Monday to Friday.
What if my business has multiple zones (e.g., lobby and restaurant)?
Each subscription includes one active audio stream for a single location. If you need additional audio streams within the same location (e.g., different areas of the same venue), additional licenses can be added at a 30% discounted rate per stream. For separate business locations, full pricing applies per location.
